Tony Bryson, Philosophy
Dr. Tony Bryson is originally from Phoenix, Arizona. He received his B.A. (summa cum laude) in philosophy from Arizona State University (2002) and his M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Iowa. His dissertation, entitled “A View from the Armchair: A Defense of Traditional Philosophy”, focuses on issues in metaphilosophy and defends traditional methods of philosophy against naturalism. Dr. Bryson specializes in epistemology, moral philosophy, and metaphilosophy, and has presented his views in epistemology at several conferences. He is currently working on a book with Dr. David Alexander which defends their views in moral philosophy. He married his best friend, Kacy Bryson, in 2004. Their first child, Ethan Cole Bryson, was born in December 2009. Tony and his family live in Janesville, MN.
